TA Reborn runs on Windows, macOS and Linux computers. Every package is listed below.
You need Total Annihilation. TA Reborn contains no original game data and plays the data of your own copy. The Commander Pack on GOG.com is the reference; Steam installs and other copies work too.

Installing
Windows
- Run the installer, or unpack the portable ZIP wherever you like.
- Start TA Reborn from the Start menu. The launcher finds GOG and Steam installs of Total Annihilation by itself.
- If SmartScreen says it protected your PC, choose More info, then Run anyway.
macOS
- Open the disk image and drag TA Reborn into Applications (not run from the disk image itself).
- If macOS will not open it the first time, choose Open Anyway in System Settings → Privacy & Security.
- In the launcher, select the data folder of your copy of Total Annihilation.
Linux
- Ubuntu:
sudo apt install ./TA-Reborn-*-ubuntu.deb - Arch:
sudo pacman -U ./TA-Reborn-*-arch.pkg.tar.zst - Portable or Steam Deck desktop mode: extract the archive and run
./ta-launcher; on the Deck, add it to Steam as a non-Steam game.
A working Vulkan driver is needed. Select your copy's data folder in the launcher.
